Anniversary Cruise - Progresso Excursion

After being on the ship for a day and a half, we woke up on Monday morning at the Port in Progresso, Mexico.  We had debated about doing an excursion here - everything was expensive, but we were afraid that we would regret not doing just a beach day, so we decided to do that here.  We rode a bus about 40 minutes away and got to spend about 4-5 hours on a beach at this cute little resort.  It ended up being a fun day and relaxing.  I'm really glad we did this!

That's really our ship behind us!  (not a backdrop!)  We were waiting to go on the buses and I asked someone to take this picture - isn't it great?  Love it!!!

On our way, we saw these flamingos.  Look in the background and you can see a lot more pink.

Our tour guide was great!

Matthew found the kayaks and decided to go out on his (because I didn't want to go with him!)  I took some pictures and this pelican photo bombed him!!!  It looks like the pelican is diving at Matthew, which he's not but I think it's a funny picture!

Here he is up close - He had never kayaked in the ocean.  He enjoyed it!

Testing the water

Relaxing on the beach

Enjoying the view before we left!
