Anniversary Cruise - Cozumel Part 2

While we were still at the Punta Sur State Refuge on the tip of Cozumel, they had a Saltwater Crocodile Observatory.  It was very interesting and as soon as we walked out over the water, a large crocodile came our way.  Our guide told us great things about these crocodiles and at one point, through a stick into the water.  We were amazed at how quickly it responded (thinking it was food) and how cool it was to see it's mouth and teeth up close.

From there, we drove down to the light house.  We were the only ones to go up to the top but were so glad we did.  It was gorgeous up there and the view was amazing.  Such different landscapes depending on which way you looked.

After that, we headed up the other side of the island.  Because we had such a small group, we stopped for about 20 minutes on a beach.  The guys didn't want to get in the water, but the other lady and little girl we were with got in with me - we both agreed we would have rather just stayed there all day.  The water was unbelievable.

Our last stop was at the Hacienda Tequila where they taught us how tequila was made (and hoped we'd buy it).  We were dropped off at the shopping center at the port so we quickly made our last minute purchases and headed to the ship.

It was one amazing day and I am so glad Matthew picked that specific excursion.  It definitely made our entire trip!!!

Here comes the crocodile

Here our guide had just thrown the stick in - you can see his teeth

Watching him come so close was pretty cool and scary.

Another direction -see the difference in the landscape?

It was soo windy up there!

Where we parked our dune buggies, I think it was a buddy of our guide - they wanted us to take pictures with their iguana...and buy their goodies!

Matthew's turn

I'm not doing a dance- I had a hard time keeping my balance in the waves & sand.  But is this not the most beautiful water you've ever seen???

A quick shot of us together

Saw a Sam's Club in town as we headed back to port!
