Another Teenager in the house!

Yep - it's hard to believe but we are now parents to 2 teenagers.....  I guess that's what happens when you have two kids 14 months apart!!!  Sweet Rebecca turned 13 on June 1st.  We are so proud of the young lady that she is turning into!  Here are a couple of pictures of present time!

Julianna giving her a birthday hug!

Rebecca LOVES Christian music and wanted some CD's

We gave her pearl earrings - and permission to get her ears double pierced!

Maggie loves the birthday girl too

We took her that afternoon to get her ears done!

She didn't even cry!!  :-)

Do beautiful!

Fun in Ohio!

It's always fun to go away with this soccer team.  We always have so much fun.  We have such a great group of boys and families and we are really proud to be part of such a great team.

Fun in the jacuzzi!

A couple of Warrens in the pool

Man, we willed up the hottub!

....and the pool!!!

More Warrens

Julianna and some playmates!

My Girls loved the balcony!

Julianna and her sweet friend Zeke

Enjoying pancakes for dinner!

The girls were supposed to share a bed, but this is where I found Rebecca each morning!

Now that is some party hair!!

We always do a slide show and fun night at the end of the season.  Coach John had special awards for these 4 - he called them the "Founding Fathers" of the team - these four are the only ones left who have played every year since our first year in 2007!

Goofy, I know but I'm learning to French Braid and I was quite proud of the results here!

Pooped out on the way home but what a great weekend!

Cincinnati Soccer Tournament

We got to spend our Memorial Day Weekend in Cincinnati, Ohio - actually, we drove back and forth between Cincinnati & West Harrison, Indiana.  They didn't help us out and give us good times for our games, so we had to spent 3 nights there....However it was worth it because we WON!!!

Our guys played great and blew out our competition!  It's always more fun when you're winning.  It was in the high 90's that weekend, so we were very hot but we had a blast.  Here are some of the soccer pictures from the weekend!

Christian heading the ball - he is by far one of the best headers on the team!

A pre-game huddle before the Championship game!

Christian had just scored!

Receiving his trophy from Coach John

What a great team - the White House Revolution 98 Boys (& Jordan)

This will make you smile!

This is what I came home to one morning after I'd been working out.
I am blessed to be soooooooooooooooo loved!!
(BTW - remember she was a Kindergartener writing this - I am a bit impressed!)

Awards Day

Okay - there is one benefit to being forever behind on your blog....when you forget to take the picture, you can go back months later and do it and no one even knows (unless you write it in the first paragraph of your blog!)

All 3 kids received awards at their Awards Day.  We are very proud of all of them!

We were very proud of Julianna for getting all of these awards as a Kindergartener!

Our perfect attendance (which is crazy because she had Pink Eye and missed a day - oh well - she was happy to get the certificate!!!)

Christian got some really nice awards for both his academic achievement and character awards.

Soccer and Sunscreen (or the lack thereof)

Yes...more soccer pictures.  But I'll make it quick.
We played in the Clarksville tournament and made it to the final game.  We TOTALLY had this game won, although the other team decided to use their hands (and the refs didn't catch it) so they won.... (that's the short version of the story).  Funnies thing is when we took this picture, rather than saying, "Say Cheese", we said, "Say Handball" and the guys loved it!

Just love this group of guys - they're great!

Christian stayed around that weekend with a Dad and his sons and referee'd the tournament.  Although we told him time and time again to put on sun screen, he did it at 6am and forgot to what????  RE-APPLY!!!  So Randy sent us this picture of him - he's FRIED!!!!

Obviously a Steak & Shake Milkshake can make anything better!!!!

Recreational Volleyball

This spring, Rebecca wanted to play volleyball again in Goodlettsville on their recreational league.  One of her friends from church, Hope, was able to be on her team and she also was able to play with 3 other girls from her team at school.  We did well, however we did not make it to the Championship game in our tournament.  But this was a great opportunity for Rebecca to keep up her volleyball skills and best of all, she finally got her overhand serve down and was rocking it by the end of the season.

Here are a few pictures from the season:

Rebecca & Hope ready

Working on that serve

During the 1 minute time outs, Julianna would run out on the court and volley a ball

As soon as the buzzer would buzz, she would RUN back out - she's used to having about 10 minutes on the soccer field to play during half time!

This picture cracks me up - not sure that's the correct form!

Getting some air!

GMS Sports Banquet

This year, a special presentation was made to one of the coaches/teachers for his outstanding Christian leadership.  Since Christian was an officer for FCA, he was asked to give a speech about Mr. Weaver.  He did a great job and we were very proud of him.

Christian didn't play a school sport his 8th grade year, so we were celebrating Rebecca's volleyball season.  Here are a few pictures from the evening.

Christian & Kayla waiting to give their speeches

Christian

Coach Clark was the one who put this together for Mr. Weaver and she pulled out a big surprise for him by honoring him this evening.  He is highly loved and respected by his students and fellow teachers.

Here is the volleyball team.  We couldn't be prouder of these girls.  The Varsity & the Jr Varsity Team won first place in their County Tournaments.  They all worked hard and together and we just couldn't be more pleased that Rebecca is a part of this team with these girls and Coach Clark

A closer picture of Rebecca

Coach Clark giving Rebecca her award - You couldn't ask for a better volleyball coach!

Rebecca got a great plaque with their team pictures and engraved with their winning information!

Stacey & I received gift cards for our dedicated service of bookkeeping & clock keeping!  We had to have a banquet picture, too!!

Rebecca with some of her friends

And it can't be a post without some picture of Julianna on it!!!
