Fall Break

For our fall break, we had originally planned to go to Chattanooga and do some things we've never done with the kids.  We were going to Ride the Incline up the Mountain and take the kids to Point Park, etc.  Then we were also going to drive to Dayton and go to Bryan College for the afternoon and evening.  We have not been back to our Alma Mater in many, many years so we wanted to show the kids the campus.  Plus, we were THRILLED to find out that there was a JV soccer and a JV volleyball game (both against Covenant College) that night that we could see with the kids.

But once Christian was put on crutches for his knee injury, it changed our plans a bit.  So we did make it up to Bryan's campus and drove around but weren't able to do what all we had wanted to.  We also found out once we got there that the soccer game had been rained out.  So we were all a bit bummed.  But we did make it to the Bookstore and get to see a few things before the volleyball game began.  Bryan did great and it was fun to be back in the old gym and cheer for the Lions!  We definitely want to return to the campus with the kids again - next time it might be an official college visit though!

These are pictures of the new entrance

It was so pretty!

The big kids got Bryan College shirts and Julianna of course had to get Bryan Lion!!!

We also had plans to take the kids to Goonie Golf and Ankars for lunch prior to heading to the lake.  Well, what do you know if Goonie Golf wasn't open on Monday & Tuesdays so we couldn't go.  The kids were so bummed.  So we did eat lunch at Ankars and then we went to the Big Lots next door that was closing and walked around and got a few "extra" things.  Then we went ahead and headed to the lake.  (That post will follow).

I had to sneak these pictures - poor guy.  He was having a rough time, but he did find out he could put a lot of stuff he wanted into that buggie!!!

And certainly a highlight for Christian.  He is taller than his cousin Blakesly!!!  So we had to document.  Let me just say this is about the only smile we got from him for quite a few days!!  Love this picture
