On Saturday, we got up early and headed to the French Quarter. I really wanted to go to Cafe Du Monde for breakfast. Matthew had never been to New Orleans so we wanted to spend a little time down there before we headed to the ship.
We made it to Cafe Du Monde and it was packed of course. Fortunately, we got a table but it was inside. It was nice to sit down. It was a mad house in there, but certainly fun to experience the atmosphere.
From there, we walked around the French Quarter and Bourbon Street and then went back to our car. We actually ended up in a Mall for a while before we headed to the port. It was an exciting morning and we were even more excited (and nervous (well, me)) for our afternoon!!!

I thought it was so neat that there were still Mardis Gras beads hanging from the street signs! |
