On April 1st, our oldest, Christian turned 11. Of course everyone was up early that morning and we had chocolate chip muffins for breakfast and time to open presents. As you can see from the first picture, as he gets older, the number of gifts seem to get fewer, but the content grows - you know? Anyway, since his birthday was on a Wednesday, we had our normal after school routine of art lessons and dinner before church, but Matthew joined us and during Rebecca's art lessons, we were able to take him shopping some things that matched his big gift. Then we went out to dinner as a family and headed off to church.
He had a sleep-over that weekend (that blog will follow) and the he's going to have a birthday party with friends from soccer and church soon. Of course, I'm sure a blog for that will follow, too.
