So it's hard to believe how fast this school year went. Once again, we come to the end of the year and I'm so pleased that both of my kids were invited to Awards Day. This year, they happened to be at the same time and since they are at different schools, we had to "divide & conquer." You can quickly guess that I went to Rebecca's since there are more pictures of her service (I only posted a couple).
But as before, we are very proud of our kids and their accomplishments in school, both in academics and socially!
Rebecca received 3 awards - AR (reading), Special recognition for peer tutoring and the All A Honor Roll. Way to go, girl!
Christian received the Perfect Attendance award, was on the all A & B Honor Roll and from his class received the Good Conduct award
These are the kids in Rebecca's class that received awards. Good Class!
Her whole class - a silly picture of course.
Rebecca & Mrs. King, who was her home room teacher this year
Rebecca & Mrs. Keel
Rebecca and sweet Mrs. Gay
Mrs. Keel wanted her picture taken with both kids since she taught them both.
Christian with Mrs. Keith - she was his primary 6th grade teacher and he adored her!
And sadly enough, this was Rebecca's final year at Greenbrier Elementary School. It seems like yesterday that I walked her into Mrs. Holt's Kindergarten class and hardly without a hug or glance, she said, "Bye, Mom" and off she went (very much unlike her brother). This school has been wonderful and we have been so pleased with the teachers and staff there. Alas....it's a good thing because one year from now, we start ALL OVER there!!!
