Sign Language Program

Some of the children at church performed Silent Night in sign language during the Sunday morning worship. Some of the older preschoolers were invited to perform and practice on Wednesday nights with them. Julianna was involved and did SUCH a great job! We were so proud of her.

She's growing up so fast!

Winter Formal

The 7th & 8th grader from the middle school were invited to a Winter Formal. It is put on by the High School Student Council as a fundraiser and they have it prior to the high school's formal. So Christian got the opportunity to go.

He asked one of his friends, Cassidy to go with him. Her family asked us to come pick her up so they could get pictures taken together. Then we drove them there and dropped them off. We enjoyed the ride with Cassidy - she is a very sweet girl.

Christian found this Christmas tie that played Jingle Bells (made me think of my Papa Payne)

What handsome guy!

Christian's M.S. Basketball Season

Christian made the basketball team again this year. It's been a bit of an unusual year with quite a few cancellations due to weather, but we had our camera at one of the games at a different gym that has better lighting than ours.

This is at our gym - love seeing his name on the wall! :-)

About to warm up

I'll probably have more pictures later in the season! Just wanted to share these now.

A Little bit of Bah-Humbug

We have been so busy that it was a bit difficult to get into the Christmas spirit this year. After Julianna's preschool Christmas program, we told the kids we would decorate the house and put up the tree. Typically, this goes smoothly but for some reason this year, we had some light issues. It brought back TONS of memories of my parents not-so-patiently fighting with the tree lights while my siblings and I are chomping at the bit waiting to put the ornaments on. It wasn't quite that bad for us, but it was a bit frustrating for Matthew. He's ready for a pre-lit tree!

We finally got it up and lost a bit of the bah-humbugish attitude and began to get excited for the holiday spirit.

Trying to find that darn bulb.......

Julianna's job was to set up the Veggie Tales Nativity

Christian and Rebecca worked together to set up the Willow Tree Nativity Scene. Since we have the piano this year, we got to put it in a new location.

One of the kids captured our discussion about the lights!

We gave the kids the opportunity to watch one of the Veggie Tales Christmas while we finished up the lights and got the rest of the decorations out of the attic

What do you know if it wasn't snowing while we were decorating. That was pretty cool!

Julianna's Preschool Christmas Program

This is Ms. Kim & Ms. Christy - Julianna ADORES these two ladies, who are her preschool teachers!

Julianna was one of about 5 or 6 kids who had a speaking part in the preschool Christmas Program. Here she is saying, "For Unto Us a Son is Given."

"The Little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay."

Loved being on stage - she practiced & practiced her songs and still sings them. We have a video of the whole performance but didn't think you really wanted to see the whole thing. We'll at least make the Grandparents watch it!

Santa!!!

At Julianna's school Christmas program, they had Santa come for pictures. How Awesome is this???

Fun times with Family

We had a lot of fun at the lake during the Thanksgiving weekend. We had nice weather so the kids were in and out a lot and the guys did a lot of raking and blowing and burning leaves. I got a lot of funny people picture this year - not sure why but they're too fun not to share!

Madeline puts her Daddy's hair in a pig tail!

We have some very talented Warrens

See? More talented Warrens...

Christian & Mitch run the go-kart through the pile of leaves

"That was fun!"

Christian sporting his new Auburn shirt!

Rebecca and Julianna take a turn on the go-kart

Beautiful Blakesly - who by the way has turned 15 and found many excuses to need to go to the local Wal-Mart so she could drive!

Oh look - another talented Warren

Mary Harper & Julianna enjoy a bath together

Julianna training the younger Warrens on how to make a silly picture!

Gigi brought Gingerbread houses to help the kids keep occupied

Mary Harper enjoys eating the candy

These goofy boys rode with us to Walmart and Christian spent his quarters to buy facial hair from a gumball machine

Julianna sporting the Batmat mask

Mary Harper is very selective in her friends and it often takes a while to "break in" with her. Uncle Matthew worked hard and finally found the key to his friendship was playing Barbies with her!

Christian came in from outside and had no idea he had this leaf behind his ear - those leaves were everywhere!

Sunset at the lake

Another beautiful picture

The Dad's

There were plenty of games played this weekend - the favorite being Quelf but then we moved to Apples to Apples and had a fun time.

These 2 boys are so funny when they get together - being creative with their Georgia Tech pj's
