Another Fun Wedding Rehearsal Dinner & Dance

Most of my readers (which at best is my immediate family) know our friends from Memphis the Moores.  And you know the history behind our relationship over these last 20 years.  So you know what an amazing story it is to see this blog post.

Their daughter, Taylor is engaged to be married in May.  She asked Julianna if she would be the flower girl.  Of course Julianna was beside herself with glee and could not wait to be part of their wedding.  Matthew also performed the ceremony for them so we were thrilled to be part of this special day for them.

Here are some pictures and a video from the rehearsal dinner.  Julianna is just a hoot - that's about all I can say!

Taylor & Mark - the happy couple

We both were given gifts - matching bracelets

Mr. DeWayne took Julianna out on the dance floor

Still with Mr. DeWayne

Now with Mr. Dwight

And Mr. Wayne....

Looks like the 2 of them own the dance floor!

Ms. Tina was dragged out too

And of course, Drew......

I just giggled at her - she and Mr. DeWayne had a great time together.  Just had to share one of the cute videos of them!

Julianna end of soccer

For Julianna's soccer team, they had a Rec Tournament, which we didn't fair so well in.  We ended up having to forfeit the last game on Saturday (it was the consolation game which we were most likely going to  loose anyway) because of our schedule with the wedding that afternoon.

But we went to the field and were there for the team to get their medals if they wanted to.  So I captured a couple of pictures with Julianna and her coach!!

It was a long and somewhat disappointing season, but as of now, Julianna still loves soccer and it comes in second only to her cheerleading!!!

Coach Matt giving some encouraging words to Julianna

Great Coach (and even greater Daddy!)

Proud of her medal

They had some fun bouncy things and face painting (which I wouldn't let her do because she was in the wedding that afternoon!)  A girl from her team was there so she did get to hang out with her for a bit and her Mom got these cute pictures of them.

Rebecca's haircut

Rebecca loves her hair - it is very important to her.  She decided to let it grow so she could do Locks of Love.  It was going great, but she still had remnants of the red Kool-aid we dyed it with last summer.  That was driving her crazy, so she finally convinced me to let her get it cut so most of the Kool-aid color would come out.  That was almost up to her shoulders.  I went ahead and gave in, knowing that it would be too long before she missed her long hair, but she is almost 14 so I think she's okay to make these decisions on her own.

She ended up getting about 6 1/2 inches cut off.  She loves it.  She had some long layers put in it, too.  She looks beautiful and now she'd like to grow it out for Locks of Love.  We shall see.....  :-)

Before & After - front view (I didn't get the angles exactly right but you can tell based on her shirt how much was cut!)

Back view (again look at the shirt!)

There it is - you can still see the red in it - we won't be doing that again this year!

Youth lead worship (again)

On Mother's Day, the entire youth band led worship for the church.  They did a great job - it's really neat to see them grow and expand in their abilities.  It meant both Christian and Rebecca were up there.  Christian played his bass guitar and Rebecca played the keyboards and sang.  She wasn't real thrilled with the singing part but Jonathan and Emily did a great job of working with her and encouraging her to do it!

Here's a video of them - REbecca starts the song off and then the others join in - later she sings by herself again.  Not sure she's thrilled with having this on here, but I'm very proud of her!  Not just her ability to sing, but her heart to want to help lead our church in worship!

Mother's Day 2013

My family has FINALLY learned that I need a photo session at most major holidays (and even some less-major ones!)  So they all knew what to expect when we got home from church on Mother's Day.  That seems to make the photo session go a bit smoother.  I am so blessed to be married to the great man that I am and have these 3 amazing children.

Here's my bragging pictures of them!

Trying to get some of the flowers in the pictures but the lighting wasn't right here - and Holly wanted to be involved!!

My 3 greatest blessings!

A Horse Party

One of Julianna's friends from church scheduled a birthday party at a local farm.  It was supposed to happen while we were on the cruise, but it was rained out (I don't think Nonie was too disappointed about that).  They were able to reschedule it a couple of weeks later but I wasn't able to take Julianna because of our schedule.  But my sweet friend, Anne, took Julianna and her granddaughter Keelee and promised to send me some pictures.

Julianna had never ridden a horse and sometimes she gets so nervous she doesn't want to do something new.  We had a long talk before the party about trying something new and this is something she would get a lot of opportunities to try!  I was so pleased when I received these pictures that she did ride the horse.  I did have some texts that she was quite stoic as she rode, but I'm just glad she took the chance and did it!

Enjoying a little extra ketchup with her hotdog

Such a silly girl

There's that serious face

I believe she relaxed a little finally!

There's my sweet smile.

It looks like this horse it getting Keelee's head...but it wasn't!

Bobcat Prowl 2013

Julianna's Bobcat Prowl happened to fall while we were on the cruise.  I'm not sure Nonie was real thrilled to go watch Julianna as she's done this before with the big kids but I'm so glad Nonie & Pops could be there for Julianna.  My dad took his new camera and got about 80 pictures.  They pretty much all look the same since they run in a small circle and after each completion, they get someone to mark their card.  But I'm thankful to have the pictures since I couldn't be there and posted some here for you!!!

A friend took this one - I asked Julianna why she closed her eyes and she said she was just being silly!!!

Getting her card marked

Not sure what she was so excited for on this one, but it was cute!

The dark haired boy is Owen - he and Julianna were good friends (she always corrects me to say how much he liked her!) so my Dad noticed this and took a couple of pictures of it.

Julianna and Owen again!  (I think this concerned my dad!!)  :-)

High fiving the mascot - shocked since she's still so afraid of people in costumes!!  I needed the proof she did it!!!
