Rebecca spring volleyball

We wanted Rebecca to continue playing volleyball so we signed her up to play in a recreational league in Goodlettsville again (she's played there before).  Matthew had already talked to her about being their coach and she had quite a few of her friends request to be on his team.  Out of the 9 on the team, 3 were new girls and the rest are girls from her school and team.

It was fun to see them all work together - these other 3 girls were such sweeties and our team clicked right away.  It was also fun to watch Matthew coach these girls.  He did a good job and they responded well to him.

We went ahead and took a team picture early in the season in case they weren't all there later.

Gotta have that silly picture

Loving on a sickie

Early on school morning in April, Julianna got up and was burning up with fever.  Poor thing.  She was devastated to miss school that day.  Sure enough, we took her to the local clinic and it was strep.

However, she had the bestest friend all day long.  Holly must have liked the heat coming off her fevered body because Holly snuggled with her all day.  It was so sweet!

Already snuggling in my bed before school time

Julianna asleep on the couch - Holly right with her

I checked on her a little later and this is how I found them.  I was cracking up!

Holly caught me - look at her eyes.  But she never moved.  What a sweet dog to love on my little sickie all day long!

GHS Soccer in April

April was a difficult month for Soccer for both Christian and the GHS team.  We had some close games, some very physical games, some horrible referees and continued injuries.

Another game on the bench.  Coach is not happy!

Back in action

Playing hard

Another injury - back on the bench

Back in - heading the ball

Another flick of the head

Love watching this boy play!

Christian turns 15

Can't believe our little April Fool's baby has turned 15!!!  Man, time has gone by fast.  Christian's birthday fell on a Monday but we had all sorts of soccer and practices, etc so we celebrated a couple times early.  One of the things he really wanted to do was get together with the Locke's and have dinner.  So he chose a Chinese Buffet that we used to go to with them.  We also celebrated on Sunday afternoon.

We are very proud of the Godly young man Christian is turning into.  We love you, son!!!

A little collage thing I put together for Instagram - so cute!

Dinner with Michael and the Lockes

Amazing how all these kids have grown up!

Christian wanted Salsbury steak for dinner - so he picked out a Hungry Man frozen dinner (yuck) and I cooked the rest of us a healthier version of the same meal!

The family

Seems he gets a new soccer ball every year!

The Hobbit Movie

We've started watching Shark Tank and saw this Hoodie pillow case on there.  We immediately thought of Christian and that he would love it - which he did!!!

He asked for a Honeybun Cake for dessert - yummy!

We've done our best to create a soccer goal for him.  The real ones are so expensive so we've attempted one with PVC pipe.  He loves it but based on how strong he kicks now, we're not real sure how long this one will last!!!

Hometown Celebrity (not really..)

Christian is enjoying his first Season of High School Soccer.  We live in a relatively small county so we are so excited every Wednesday when the local paper comes out.  Here are some shots of the articles mentioned in (or seen in or referred to).  Unfortunately, he was plagued with injuries this season, but you can see it affected his team!!

So proud of this (this is not his picture but that's his name!!)

Easter Family Pictures 2013

The rain wasn't working in our favor on Easter Sunday this year, but we did our best to get a Family photo after church.  This is never easy and this year, the kids did pretty good but the photographer, not so much (no names mentioned).  So here's what we got.  Not too bad!

I have quite a few of these!

Still scared........

Our Egg Hunt had to be moved inside this year because of the rain.  I actually missed most of it, but when I got down to the youth building, I found Julianna and I sure hope she left some eggs for the little kids!!

I tell you this because the Easter Bunny showed up.  Now Julianna knew it was Mr. Brad in a costume but even at 7 years old, she is still soooo scared of anyone in a costume.  We tried and tried and tried and even after taking off his mask and showing her who he was, she wouldn't come close.  At the VERY end, she finally did as long as she had a barrier between him and her - her friends!!  So I had to share a few pictures

Julianna and her overflowing basket!

She's smiling, although you can tell she's a bit nervous - thanks to Lily Grace for being her buffer!

Even Rebecca got her picture taken with the Easter Bunny

What fun to find Julia, Julianna's friend at church in the same dress!!  Had to get a twinkie picture of these two beauties!!

A Visit from the Easter Bunny

Happy Easter.  The kids woke up to this note from the Easter Bunny.  (I was later questioned that Santa actually didn't bring them the puppy but I think what was meant to say was that Santa SAW the puppy we got and felt this was best!)

Basket search was pretty easy this year!
