3-D Movie

Another place we went was to a 3-D movie that had the moving chairs.  We got to see 2 shows and the main one was about a snow adventure.  It was fun.  We got sprayed in the face with water during the show.  Julianna was nervous at first but then relaxed and enjoyed the ride!

Waiting on the movie to begin

Afterwards, we let the kids make themselves a Souvenir penny - she thought it was really neat!

Rebecca got one too!

Guinness World Record Museum

A sweet friend of mine from church found out where we were going and had 6 tickets that they had not used from a summer softball tournament there that she gave to us.  It got us in ALL of the Guinness attractions in Gatlinburg.  We were so excited and it turned out to provide a lot of entertainment for us absolutely free.  Here's the Guinness World Record Museum pictures!

That is one large shark mouth!

Christian was seeing how long he could hold his breath under water

The kids thought I was so goofy but I had to get my picture taken with Michael Jackson!

The kids inside the World's Largest belt worn by a man!

For some reason this reminded me of my childhood and made me think of my sister Cassie.  I think we had a book or something and I was always amazed by those nails

Julianna & I next to the World's Tallest Woman

Good grief!!!

All 3 kids! - Love them!

Hanging out in the condo

We actually got a condo that had 2 different sides - the kid had their own side with 2 bedrooms and a den/kitchen area.  Then ours had a big bedroom with a full den, kitchen, and dining area.  It was really nice and the kids had as much fun hanging out in the rooms!

I guess this is why they are called the Smokey Mountains - this is a view from our balcony

Waiting on us to head to the heated indoor pool

There were 2 hot tubs - one indoors and one outdoors.  I didn't take as many pictures here, but we went to the pool both nights and even swam in the rain but it wasn't bad because of the hot tub outside!

Everyone enjoying themselves

Breakfast on the balcony!

Clingman's Dome

We decided to go on up to Clingman's Dome when we first got there.  We were all in short sleeved shirts and light clothes and were SOOO thankful that we had our hoodies in the car.  It ended up being soo cold and windy up there.  And it proved to be one heck of a hike up that mountainside too.  I was quite thankful I was in shape because I do not think I would have made it a year earlier!

We all enjoyed the hike and the beautiful scenery and were amazed and how far you could see!

This really made us miss the mountains (well, Matthew and me - the kids don't really remember living near them!)

Julianna got a ride from Daddy!

We made it to the top

Someone took this for us - lok at Julianna's hair - that's how amazingly windy it was up there!

So pretty!

The girls

On the way back down, the Appalachian Trail did cut through so of course we took this for my Dad!

Fall Break - Gatlinburg Trip

Based on our usual busy schedule and lack of funds, we don't really get to "go anywhere" during our breaks.  However, we "bought" into one of those time-share presentations and got to take a 3 day, 2 night trip and chose Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge during our Fall Break.

We went on a Monday through Wednesday and had a wonderful family time together.  I'm breaking these into a few different blogs because as usual I took a bunch of pictures, but I got some really great ones I just had to share.

This is at the welcome center for the company that  "sponsored" us.  She was so excited and wanted her picture taken with everything!

Another bear!
Before checking into the condo, we went on a scenic trip up into Gatlinburg.  At first the kids weren't too thrilled but they did loosen up a bit once they saw the colors and the mountains!

Matthew & Julianna

A gentleman took this picture of our family.  Isn't it beautiful

The Warren kiddos!

Christian took this.

Our sweet little Julianna

We wanted this picture of us on the Appalachian Trail for my Dad, but there was  some man acting strange behind Matthew so we were all trying to figure him out and Matthew took the picture anyway - so that's why we look this way - it's the only picture he took!

Pumpkin Carving Time

While the guys were working concessions and refereeing at our tournament, the girls and I went to my friend, Rachel's house to carve pumpkins with their family.  This is not something we usually do so my girls really excited about doing it.  It was a gorgeous day - perfect for what we were doing!

Cheyenne is looking at the computer and is sketching out her  baby's ultrasound for her pumpkin - she's an incredible artist.

Rebecca digs in and starts pulling out the guts

Julianna was NOT impressed with the guts!

Rachel tried a new trick - using a drill and making it like a luminary by drilling holes in a design - great idea but it didn't really work!

Julianna worked really hard and diligently on her pumpking

Madisyn working on hers

Julianna chose the paw because it reminded her of the Greenbrier Bobcats.  She did the carving all by herself!

My first one, too.  I did pretty goof, if I may say so myself!

Rebecca did good, although hers was a bit complicated and harder to do

Julianna just loved Jordan & Sophie and entertained us all with her funny faces!
